Regular Dental Check Ups For Preventive Dental Care

During these visits your dentist will inspect your kids mouth and look for any early signs of tooth decay. He will evaluate your child’s brushing technique, condition of their teeth, check the growth of the jaw and teeth in relation to their development stage, and check their bite.

Fluoride treatment will be applied to prevent the development of caries. If your child does have dental caries, it can be filled early to minimize pain and major problems with absess, bite problems later on.

Your dentist will keep a close eye on the development of your child’s teeth over time, taking x-rays when necessary to evaluate how the adult teeth are emerging.
